Availability update January 2021: Thank you for visiting. Due to a high number of enquiries in recent months I am unable to take any new referrals at the moment other than for professional consultation or supervision. Why work with a Clinical Psychologist?
A Clinical Psychologist is a mental health professional with doctoral level training in assessment and therapy.
We listen carefully and work together with clients as equals.
We use knowledge of how humans adapt to challenging situations to help you to find ways to move forwards.
My practice covers adults and children and includes therapy, assessments and consultation to professionals.
I use a range of specialist therapies that have a strong evidence base for effectiveness. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for post-traumatic stress. Often we will also use ideas from Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness to help manage self criticism and worry.
My clients may be navigating life’s ups and downs or may have experienced longstanding difficulties. I have experience in working with people who have been fostered and adopted.
My practice also offers Clinical Supervision and consultation to professionals. I have been supervising for over 10 years and have BPS approved SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision (Advanced).
